Chicago,IL -- hurriKane Solutions recently unveiled a new website production for MABAS Division III, an emergency response initiative that provides a swift, standardized and effective method of mutual aid assistance for extra alarm fires and mass casualty incidents in North Suburban Chicago. The MABAS Division III website features individual profiles of the 17 participating fire departments and emergency response organizations, a calendar of events, downloadable PDF files of monthly meetings, profiles of special response teams, links to detailed safety information and thorough contact information. Each of the individual participating departments features photographs of equipment, links to additional department websites, and email and phone information.

In 1970, the MABAS system was established to provide a swift, standardized and effective method of mutual aid assistance for extra alarm fires and mass casualty incidents. The MABAS system is divided into over 20 Divisions from the communities along I-53 and the Northwest Tollway corridor. Today, the MABAS organization is comprised of nearly 300 agencies.
MABAS Division III shares cost effective specialized teams for hazardous material spill control, underwater rescue and recovery and specialized cave-in or high-angle rescues. Additional activities of MABAS Division III include cost saving joint purchasing between communities for fire trucks, engines, ambulances, tools, hose and equipment. Currently, seventeen north shore departments belong to MABAS Division III providing service from 35 stations and over 750 firefighters.
